Who We Are
Innov8 is a neighborhood First Tech Challenge team based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Our coaches, Cherie Estill and Troy Radakovich, previously coached the FTC team The Radical 6 together. After the members of The Radical 6 graduated high school, Coach Estill decided she wanted to coach an all-girls team. At the beginning of August 2017, a group of eighth grade girls got together and founded Innov8. We are actively recruiting for new members for the 24-25 school year.
Our current team for the 2023-2024 season is composed of 5 members: Alex, Emmi, Farzana, Josie, and Shree. If you're interested in joining our team, check out the CONTACT tab!
Our mission is to empower fellow women in STEM and encourage them to pursue their passion in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. We understand that the gender disparity in activities like FTC can intimidate girls and discourage them from getting involved, which is why we want to show that women can succeed in STEM fields. We also interact with our community in order to learn more about current developments in STEM and possible careers.
In the future, we hope to continue breaking boundaries, exploring STEM fields, and growing as a team!
